It had been a few weeks since Tabitha saw Kyla and Derek off on the train for another year at hogwarts, and she had been a wreck. Over the years, Tabitha's paranoia of Deatheaters and the world around her had increased, but it always seemed worse when school started. Tabitha had constant nightmares throughout the night, waking up every 2-3 hours every single night. She couldn't rest during the day, as that was filled with physical therapy, regular therapy with one of St. Mungo's psychiatrists, and speech therapy. When she wasn't there, she was trying to run her cake shop or care for Connor, but even that seemed to be overwhelming. Most nights, Tabitha tried to get through the night with the various high powered sleeping medications prescribed by the psychiatrist, but the side effects tended to make her weird and loopy. She was known to sleepwalk, sleep talk, and on occasion she had tried sleep cooking, nearly burning down the apartment in the process when she had fallen asleep under the kitchen table while an empty pot had been burning on the stove.
It was nearly midnight when Tabitha was finally able to sleep, but this dream kept waking her up. In it, she was being controlled by Dante to kill her family, and when she awoke an hour later, she felt like she was still in the dream. Everything around tabitha felt dreamlike and hazy, and Tabitha felt dizzy. Her eyes darted around the room, but she swore she was seeing figures dressed in black hiding in the shadows of the darkened room. When she looked at the figure in bed next to her, she jumped, not even recognizing her own husband. He looked like someone she didn't know - like one of them. But, how did a deatheater get into her house? She couldn't figure out what was going on, even though technically, everything was normal and tabitha was hallucinating.
Tabitha got out of bed, pacing back and forth in a small area of floor between their bed and the dresser, trying to make sense of the situation. In her mind, she was seeing a deatheater, and she needed to figure out how to get rid of him before he woke up. She quickly and quietly made her way down the hallway to the kitchen, taking a sharp knife out of the knife block on the kitchen counter. She had her wand with her, and pointed both objects out in front of her. She quietly opened the door to the bedroom, and after stepping inside, closed the door as it creaked softly. She made her way to the other side of the bed and pointed the knife at Braeden, still thinking that he was a deatheater. "Wake up," she hissed, jabbing him with the end of her wand. If anything, she hoped to scare him awake, catch the deatheater off guard. To Tabitha, this was all still a dream, and in this 'dream', she still had to protect her family.
[ooc: basically what i'm thinking...she's hallucinating badly, thinks braeden is a deatheater and tries to kill him during this breakdown. Eventually, she's gonna end up long term at st.mungo's - probably not permanently, but she's gonna be there for a long while. This news eventually starts floating around hogwarts, and after a bunch of teasing, Kyla gets sick of it and tries to fight another student, landing her in detention. Since she's so concerned about having a perfect school record for the Auror department at the ministry, this fight could ruin her chances of becoming an auror. Obviously, i'm not gonna have tabby kill braeden, but if you want him to get hurt at all, just let me know and i'll work it in there somewhere. I think he would try and get the knife away from her, maybe at some point realize this isn't just a normal reaction to her meds, that she's having a mental breakdown or something. idk, just a thought. oh, and i know i posted with the wrong account - i will post the next one with the tabby account]
