+ my son. He knows exactly how to brighten my day and keep me grounded when i need it.
+ my husband and family. they've been a good support system, and i'm not sure where i would be without them
+ photography. It's my only physical connection left with my father, and i don't regret taking photography up as a hobby
+ scrapbooking. It's so much fun to reflect back on memories and put those memories on paper.
+ flying. It's so relaxing when i've had a bad day to just get up in the sky and fly.

+ deatheaters. They tore apart my family too many times to count.

FULL HISTORY:
Alana grew up being the youngest of two children. She was a bit of a terror...getting into stuff, breaking stuff, and such. She thought it was fun, but her parents really didn't agree. Once she was old enough to ride a broom, her mother began to show her how to play quidditch, in an attempt to get her to do something constructive with all of her energy. She took to the game quickly, and loved it! As she got older, she became close with both her parents, and eventually her older sister Dorothy, also.
Alana was excited to receive her letter to hogwarts, especially after hearing all of her sister's stories from school. However, things weren't going to go as well for her as they did for dorothy. Things started out well, until her father's death. She took it hard. Really hard. She'd never heard of deatheaters until then, but from that moment on, she hated them. She started becoming interested in photography, after a few of her father's cameras had survived the fire at their house, which destroyed the house. She became engrossed in it, and worked on her photography skills, becoming a very good photographer. She began to think about opening her own studio. As she grew older, and became more skilled, she began photographing weddings, and fell in love with photography. About a year after her father's death, her mother began seeing someone new. It upset alana greatly. She made it clear how much she didn't agree with her mother seeing kenji, and it made things stressful for quite a while. It took several years before alana was even willing to call him dad. She started confiding in her best friends at the time, seth and sol slytherin, and her other best friend, balavan malfoy. As time passed, her and bal became close, and eventually started dating just after she started her second year of school. The two were inseparable, until she was going into her 6th year of school. Bal broke up with her, and then moved away. It completely devastated her. She didn't bother trying to find someone else, as she wanted so much to believe that bal would come back. However, during her last year of school, her mind changed a bit. She was still close with seth and sol, but she started having feelings for sol. She was too stubborn to actually admit it to him, so she kept that to herself, until she discovered that sol liked her also. The two began dating, and she was happy, but it didn't last for long. A few months after graduating, right before her 18th birthday, alana discovered that she was pregnant. A lot of drama began to unfold at this news. Both sides of the family were upset. She told sol, and he seemed supportive, until they started fighting. It started with small disagreements, and they got worse as time went on. She was about 7 months along when the two of them got into an argument. In the midst of this argument, sol said some very upsetting things to alana, and the two broke off their relationship. Alana was crushed, and made an arrangement with her parents to stay with them until she could find a place of her own. The only contact she had with sol was after their son, ethan was born. The two figured out a schedule for ethan, and agreed that sol would have him on the weekends, and alana would keep him during the week.
Shortly after ethan's birth, Alana began distancing herself from people, afraid that she was being judged for getting pregnant so young. Ethan, not liking the current living situations, was fussy a lot, and it upset alana, and made her doubt her parenting skills. She worked in gwen's shop, and used her money from there to pay a small amount of rent to her parents, and provide everything for ethan. She rarely went to family functions, finding it too awkward to be in the same room with sol. Eventually they made up, and she's was a lot happier, as was ethan, not having to be shuffled between two houses.
After making up, alana and sol tried dating again. unfortunately, it appeared that they had rushed into dating yet again, and things were rocky. they still continued to fight, and between that and alana's insecurities, it seemed like things were never going to work out. Just as alana thought things would never get better, sol proposed to her. she knew deep down that she loved him, and she said yes. they were only engaged for a short time, but planned an amazing wedding with help from family and friends.
Even through all of that, she still greatly fears the future. she recently found out she was pregnant with their second child, and she's a little nervous. Even though she knows this pregnancy will be completely different from the first one, she still has her worries and fears.
